Triplettes
![]()
Trying to avoid some criticsm from my friend Pablo, I will post something about another movie that we saw the other night.
The Triplettes de Belleville. A fantastic combination of 3D and traditional 2D animation!
The story starts in the 50's, in the suburbs of Paris. The main characters include Madame Souza (the grandma), the dog Bruno (yeah yeah yeah, I already can hear the jokes), Champion (a melancolic little boy, adopted by Madame Souza), the strange triplettes stars from Belleville and the french mafia in that same city. It all starts when grandma Souza is trying to get Champion to be happy and she finds out that he is quite fond of bikes. Time passes on, Champion grows older, becomes very fond of biking and participates in the "Tour de France"... but something happens ... he gets kidnapped by some strange men and taken to "Belleville", a city very abundant and very ... swingy ... Grandma Souza crosses the ocean on a pedalo trying to get to him ... The rest is something that you have to see, more adventures and more strange stuff.
It has been a long time since I saw such a good animation and if you have the chance to get it, do so, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

George Romero's Dawn of the Dead
Last night we saw Dawn of the Dead, the original version from George Romero, 1978. We got the Director's cut, 140 minutes of action! :)
Funny how the zombies are actors with just grey paint on them! Still a good movie though, fun and with a different plot than the new remake.
Danielle has introduced me to Zombie movies, she even got me the Zombie Survival Guide for my birthday, I guess we'll be ready for an "outbreak" ...

Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!
It's been a while since we went to the movies, so yesterday we decided to go and see Dawn of the Dead. This is a remake of George Romero's 1978 movie Dawn of the Dead (same title, of course).
This movie is good, we did like it. You really have to like zombie movies though. We are big fans of 28 days later, Night of the living dead, etc... Go, see it and tell us what you tought of it.
